Ábrahám Szilágyi

Co-Founder & Head of Development

Software developer "by heart," Co-Founder, and Head of Development at Code Factory. Although I originally graduated as an Electrical Engineer, my passion for programming began long before I earned my degree — at the age of 12. This engineering mindset and love for coding have defined the past 10+ years of my career since changing fields to focus on professional software development.

Currently at Code Factory, alongside coordinating and mentoring the development team, I focus primarily on the strategic and technological tasks associated with our AWS partnership. My daily work centers on designing and implementing modern cloud-based architectures, specifically microservices and Kubernetes systems. While leadership duties dominate, I strive to stay in the technological loop: I always choose the right tool for the job, but Node.js, Python, and Go are particularly close to my heart.

My professional path has covered a wide spectrum: I have participated in numerous projects ranging from mobile development and complex enterprise applications to scalable web solutions. One of the most defining milestones and proudest moments of my career is tied to the Tableau Conference in Las Vegas. A product I developed was showcased to a global audience during the keynote speech, where my contribution was specifically acknowledged. This success confirmed to me that our expertise can firmly stand its ground on the international stage.

My work philosophy is simple but unwavering: I strive for honest, transparent communication and conscientiousness. I believe that work is only worth doing if we put all our knowledge into it—a principle I uphold just as much with my own team as in our partnerships with clients.

When I'm not building systems in the cloud, I prefer to spend my free time with my wife and our two children. Although I have less time for them lately, I find recharge in sports, the silence of fishing, gardening, the creativity of DIY projects, playing the piano, or just a good game.

My professional credo is best summarized by my favorite saying:

“Anything can be done, but there are some things that aren't worth doing.”
