I'm Zoltán, a career-changer who made a conscious decision to build a new professional path in the tech industry.

Throughout my life, there have always been two things I felt genuinely passionate about: gastronomy and information technology. Both played important roles in shaping who I am, each in its own way influencing my mindset, my curiosity, and eventually my long-term ambitions.

I spent seven years working as a Chef de partie in a five-star hotel kitchen. Those years gave me discipline, resilience, and a deep understanding of high-pressure environments. Over time, however, I realized that even though the experience was valuable, the working conditions and the lifestyle simply weren’t sustainable for me in the long run. That moment of clarity made me understand that I didn’t just need a new workplace — I needed an entirely new direction.

So I changed my profession.

I invested two years in a Full Stack Developer course, where I gained hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Java. I applied these skills through a variety of projects, from web applications using relational and NoSQL databases to more complex solutions built on object-oriented programming principles. With every project, I felt myself getting closer to the kind of work that truly motivates me.

Here at Code Factory, I have the opportunity to strengthen the foundations I've already built and dive deeper into modern, industry-standard technologies. My goal is to gain confident knowledge in DevOps practices and AWS cloud infrastructures too — all within a supportive yet challenging environment that encourages me to grow step by step, both professionally and personally.
